About Prop Firm Authority
Prop Firm Authority is an independent review and comparison site for proprietary (“prop”) trading firms. We help retail traders decide which futures, forex, and crypto prop firm to buy an evaluation from by publishing verified pricing, rule-by-rule comparisons, and honest reviews — so you can pick the program that actually fits how you trade.
We are not a broker, fund, or investment adviser. We do not manage money, execute trades, or sell evaluations ourselves. We research them, document them, and explain them.
Our mission
Prop firm marketing is noisy, and the numbers change constantly. Fees get restructured, drawdown rules get tightened, payout cycles get shortened, and pricing pages quietly shift between plan tiers. Our mission is to cut through that and give you clear, checkable data: what a challenge actually costs, what the drawdown rules really mean, how fast payouts really are, and what a firm does when you fail.
How we research and rate firms
Every firm we cover is scored against the same published criteria, so a high score means the same thing across every review. We weight the things that most often decide whether a trader keeps their account:
- Total evaluation cost — the real, all-in price after every fee, reset, and add-on, not just the advertised headline number.
- Drawdown rules — maximum daily and total loss, whether it is static or trailing, and how it is calculated (balance vs. equity).
- Profit targets and consistency rules — the realistic path to passing each phase, and any consistency requirement that constrains how you scale.
- Payout split, cycle, and threshold — what share you actually receive, how often you can withdraw, and the minimum days required.
- Platform and data support — which trading platforms are offered, and whether payouts are processed reliably.
- Rule clarity — how clearly the firm documents its rules, and how consistent its published terms are with what traders actually experience.
We verify pricing and rules against the firm’s own published materials at the time of writing, and we update reviews when terms change. Where a firm’s pricing page is a JavaScript application that cannot be read directly, we cross-check its stated figures against its own help documentation.
Our editorial standards
These are the rules we hold ourselves to, and the reasons we publish them:
- Independence. A firm cannot pay to change its rating. Many firms we review are not affiliate partners at all.
- Disclosed money. Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Full details are on our Disclosure page.
- No invented numbers. We do not fabricate payouts, testimonials, or trader results. If we cannot verify a claim, we say so or we leave it out.
- Corrections published. When we get a figure wrong and someone tells us, we fix it. Tell us through the contact page.
- Clear labelling. Advertising and sponsored content are labelled as such and never influence a firm’s score.
What we do not do
- We do not recommend a firm because it pays us the most.
- We do not rank firms on headline price alone — the cheapest challenge is often the most expensive once resets are counted.
- We do not publish a “best firm” verdict you have to take on faith. Every score is traceable to the criteria above.
- We do not offer signals, mentorship, or account management, and we never ask for your broker or prop firm login details.
Who this site is for
If you are evaluating whether to pay for a prop firm challenge, you need three things: an honest total cost, a clear understanding of the drawdown rules you have to live inside, and an honest read on whether that firm pays people reliably. That is the entire job of this site. Everything here — the firm comparisons, the deals and price cards, and our individual firm reviews — is built around answering those three questions.
Trading futures, forex, and crypto involves a substantial risk of loss. A prop firm evaluation is a fee for the opportunity to trade firm capital, not an investment, and most traders do not profit. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
How to use our data
Our comparison tables are built to be read alongside the firm’s own terms, not instead of them. Prop firm rules change frequently and only the firm can tell you the current, authoritative version of its own policy. Always confirm pricing and rules on the firm’s official site before you buy.
Get in touch
If a figure here is wrong, a firm has changed its terms, or you want a specific firm reviewed, tell us through the contact page. We read every correction request and we act on the ones that check out.

HOW WE RANK
The Ground Rules Behind Every Review
Every firm on this site is scored on the same five pillars, pulled from the actual contract — not the landing page.
1. Profit target & trailing drawdown
2. Fees, add-ons & funding minimums
3. Payout speed & profit split
4. Trading rules, news & drawdown limits
5. Support, reviews & trust signals
Independent ratings and reviews of funded trading firms. Compare challenges, fees, and payout splits — all in one place.
